A bunch of NBFCs are waiting to finance HNIs.
Dear Balbir Singh,
Curbing toxicity is a constant battle for social-media platforms, with content moderators as the foot soldiers. Moderators have to handle extreme content as part of their work, which scars them psychologically. Although possibly the worst job to come out of the rise of social media, it is also the most essential. But BPOs, which do that work for social-media companies, could be shying away from such business. Our lead story tells why.

The murky business of content moderation
Screening social-media content featuring murder, threats, rape, child abuse, suicide, and hate speech means those who do that job must possess a high level of emotional resilience. Lawsuits against social-media companies in the West are pushing more content-moderation jobs into countries like India, where norms are lax. Facebook will henceforth stipulate that its BPOs screen potential content-moderation employees for emotional resilience. But companies may struggle to meet these terms.

Indira IVF: delivering growth
The IVF market in India is highly fragmented and has traditionally been doctor-dependent for referrals. However, Indira IVF’s unique business model is driving its growth in a challenging market. Apart from its focus on direct-to-consumer marketing, the company is busy creating a significant footprint in untapped cities, particularly in north India.

From Mindspace to Happiest Minds, HNIs lap up IPOs
HNI investors are betting on equity markets for higher returns. A sample set of IPOs ET Prime analysed shows that they have subscribed most to issues that saw over 50% listing gains. With more IPOs in the pipeline, a bunch of NBFCs are waiting to finance HNIs. But listing gains don’t always translate into long-term outperformance.
