Under the prevailing and given circumstances, we can’t disown Sant Ram Singh and Sardar Surat Singh Khalsa Ji, though like me, Learned Sikh Sardar Amar Jit Singh Chandi may differ with them as Learned Sikh Sardar Amar Jit Singh Chandi commented in the context, ‘The Sikh Philosophy guides us to ‘Face the Problem Boldly, Not To Commit Suicide’.
First of all, the suffering of old, young and minor in the farmer protest was never be taken as Sant Ram Singh’s personal problem, which should have been faced boldly by him as I personally experienced and faced to some extent my personal problem boldly in the open knowledge of all, in my court, to my relatives especially brave Sikhs, who due to fear such brave Sikhs under the garb of that it is personal of Balbir Singh Sooch, nothing to do with Sikhs or humanity or humanitarianism, more than escapism was better option for all of them.
There are number of manmade stories in every religion, like among stories against exceptionally bold sacrifices of Sant Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale, our Gurus and similarly other Sikh heroes, ignoring the then prevailing and given circumstances and situation factually.
Once my respected clients, Sarpanch and members of Panchayat, associated with the congress party from village Dangian, Tehsil Jagraon, District Ludhiana asked me that we know, you don’t believe in Sants or in Sant culture, but we can show you a Sant. I asked, ‘what is the speciality in that Sant?
They replied in one voice that by seeing the man going to him, he immediately recognise the man whether he is a right or a wrong person and will start abusing him, even if he is a baptised Sikh, provided he is a wrong and greedy person .
I replied to them that same I can do, but not so unsociably. Then they asked me as to how? I told them if I go to him and if that Sant is not abusing me immediately, he is not a Sant.
Then, they questioned me, why?
I made them to understand my point of view in reply to their question. Normally and doubtlessly, all Sants including unmarried people know very well that they are deserters from worldly duties, that’s why they became Sant and are unmarried, even we can say to the extent are cruel and tyranny, it applies on all such people though exceptions can’t be ruled out in this world.
Whereas I am gifted everything like comforts as a good married life, higher education, well educated children, status as an Advocate and pension as an Ex-serviceman etc by the blessing of God including corrective and for my experience punishment like Jail by ‘Will Of God’.
Then, your Sant as I explained you about such Sants, will be impelled to think about me as to why this man came to him (Your Sant), your Sant has to immediately conclude about me that this person with all God gifted comforts and privileges came to me (to your Sant) is wrong and greedy person and should start abusing me straightway after seeing me there with you. Isn’t?
The respected all, Sarpanch and members of Panchayat agreed with my point of view on the subject happily and the same is applicable about politicians of India, whether they are married or unmarried.
