MANIKARAN SAHIB, HP, India (August 19, 2015)—Ten pilgrims were killed while 11 others were critically injured when a boulder tore through a residential complex at Gurdwara Manikaran Sahib. Sangat present on premise rushed to help the injured and pulled out bodies from the rubble.  More bodies maybe trapped under the rubble.
The incident took place around 1:50 pm yesterday.  Over 300 Sikh pilgrims were present at the residential complex when the boulder struck there.  All those killed have been identified as residents of Sangrur, Punjab.
Sevadars at the complex have stated that over two dozen rooms have been badly damaged.  Nine patients are being treated at the Regional Hospital at Kullu while two were referred to PGI Chandigarh.
