Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji, in his long letter (Zafarnama) sent to Aurangzeb poisoned the difference between the religion of the Hindu hill kings and his own religion by these words: That O idol-worshipper, the mind is idol-taught. (Zafranama-95)”:
Meaning: O king! Your fellow hill kings are idol worshippers, while I am a breaker of idols.
It is clear from the above that Hinduism has no relation with Sikhism. Ramananda was also against idol worship. "If God is a stone, then I will worship a mountain." Hindus have many Gods, God is a stone for them.
Sikhism is a source of knowledge even though in India till now people are being kept illiterate to keep them away from knowledge. But as knowledge increases among people, people will stop worshiping stones, get rid of blind beliefs.
