The Punjab Human Rights Organisation(PHRO) has asked DGP Suresh Arora to order high level probe to inquire about role of complainant. A memorandum in this concern was submitted to the DGP Suresh Arora by WHRO activists on March 9.

Headed by retiered Justice Ajit Singh Bains, the PHRO has submitted documents to DGP Suresh Arora asking for official investigations. The PHRO has accused the complainant woman of taking bribe from former Akali leader Langah whom she had accused of raping her forcefully.  Justice Bains has claimed that PHRO had proof of re-transfer of the same land on the name of complainant woman that she had accused Langah of selling.
Along with Justice Bains, PHRO leaders have said that the re-transfer of land on the name of complainant woman needs to be probed thoroughly.
It may be recalled here that the complainant woman in this case had withdrawn her accusation against Langah last month. Reverting from her previous statement, she had told the court of Gurdaspur’s additional district and sessions Judge Prem Kumar that she was pressurized to make accusations against Langah by the Police cops who were working in collusion with some politicians.
