2.      Several leaders of different Hindu organizations, including presidents of temple committees of Ludhiana,  flayed former chief minister Parkash Singh Badal’s statement that there was threat to Hindu-Sikh unity or communal harmony in Punjab due to the morcha (sit-in) at Bargari or after the tabling of Justice Ranjit Singh Commission report on the cases of sacrilege.
3.     Badal was playing divisive politics and was desperately trying to win over Hindus by creating fear in them-Hindus. Muslim and Christian community members were also present at the press conference.
4.     Hindus have decided to come out after he has been repeatedly raising the bogey of threat to Hindu-Sikh unity. Hindus have great reverence for Guru Granth Sahib and they have also been hurt by sacrilege. They also want that justice is done in the cases of sacrilege and police firing cases and culprits prosecuted. We respect the Sikh holy book more than Badals”.
5.     Addressing a press conference in Jalandhar, former Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) MLA Prem Mittal and Lok Insaaf Party (LIP) MLA Balwinder Singh Bains, in the presence of leaders of Hindu outfits, said Badal was playing divisive politics and was desperately trying to win over Hindus by creating fear in them.
6.     “Badals are afraid that Bargari morcha can succeed and to save themselves from political routing and legal action now they are trying to play Hindu-Sikh card.” “Earlier too, Badal did not handle the issue of Nirankari –Sikh clash in 1978 properly when he was chief minister and it ultimately it led to militancy and now also he is playing similar political game”. Former MLA Prem Mittal said.
7.     Prominent among those who were present on the occasion included Durga Mata Mandir committee president Balbir Gupta, Jagan Nath Rath Yatra committee vice-chairman Kaka Sood, Baba Lal Dyal temple committee president Vijay Bhatia, Arya Samaj Mandir president Ravinder Nayyar, Krishan Mahotsav committee vice-chairman Atul Kapoor, Dussehra committee president Naresh Sareen and Muslim leader Suraj Deen.
