Bhai Taljeet Singh Jimmy Released from Sangrur Jail
Posted: 18 Jan 2019 05:40 PM PSTCHANDIGARH, Punjab—Sikh youth Bhai Taljeet Singh @ Jimmy was reportedly released from the Sangrur Jail on January 18. It is notable here that Jimmy’s release has become possible after granting of bail by the Faridkot Court on January 15 in an FIR No. 163/2017 registered in the Police Station of Bajakhana under several sections of the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act (UAPA) and the Arms Act.
Taljeet Singh @ Jimmy, who was residing in UK, was arrested from the Indira Gandhi International Airport of New Delhi when he returned back to India on October 31, 2017. After his arrest, the Punjab police had arrested Jagtar Singh @ Jaggi Johal, Bhai Ramandeep Singh and Bhai Hardeep Singh Shera respectively in relation to murders of Hindu leaders occurred in Punjab.
When the investigation of cases against these Sikh youths came in the hands of the NIA, Bhai Taljeet Singh @ Jimmy was discharged in these cases by the NIA.
