In Basti, Uttar Pradesh, a case has been filed against Swami Sachidanand and his two assistants, after 4 women devotees have filed a case accusing that the godman and his associates held them captive, tortured and raped them in the Ashram.
The Basti superintendent of police, Sankalp Sharma expressed that legal proceedings are underway, and a formal FIR has been filed on the 3 accused as this a huge vase.
One of the victims, who hails from Chattisgarh, shared her painful and horrible experiences at the Ashram, and said that she had come to the ashram at the age of 12 in 2008, adding that, she was a naive girl when she came into the ashram unaware of the consequences, and when she refused to co-operate, was raped brutally, tortured, threatened by the Godmen. She also revealed that the Godmen had many ashrams all over India.
