Davinder Panesar, expelled committee member.

COVENTRY, UK (July 2, 2014)—In recent hours an incident took place at Sri Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji Gurdwara (Coventry, UK) between Gursikhs and expelled members of the committee. Much misinformation has been spread but the facts and truth behind the incident at Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji Gurdwara are as follows:
1. Kulwinder Singh Nihang is president at Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji Gurdwara.
2. At weekly Gurdwara meetings Davinder Panesar and Joginder Palahi were planning to change the Gurdwara name to the “Thai Temple” (Buddhist Temple).
3. Palahi and Panesar were expelled yesterday for this gross misconduct which was passed by the Management Committee.
4. Today, the expulsion notice was to be served and the signatories were to be removed from the Gurdwara account.
5. Panesar’s sons (Arjan Panesar and Amar Panesar) along with some thugs disrupted the meeting with verbal abuse at sangat (congregation) members which included women and young children.
6. Panesar’s sons assaulted a female member of the sangat which led to an altercation.
7. The sangat were forced to defend themselves and forcefully remove these thugs from the Gurdwara premises.
8. Kulwinder Singh Nihang along with the support of the local Coventry sangat will continue to build the Gurdwara Sahib and ensure that it does not become a Buddhist Temple.
