Dharmi Faujia Di Halat
During the attack on Sri Harmandir Sahib in 1984, several thousand Sikh soldiers left their barracks all over India to protest against the attack on Darbar Sahib by the armed forces of India.
Several hundreds were killed by Indian troops on the way and the others were captured.
The ones that were captured were jailed for long periods and subjected to horrendous physical tortures, leaving them incapable of earning a living.
The painful aspect of this saga is their families were left to suffer in poverty for long periods as the income was cut off once their husbands were jailed. The education and welfare of their children and families suffered and all else that comes with poverty.
Till today they have not been given a helping hand. It brings me extreme grief as I write this to inform the world of another sin committed by the Panth on itself. We collect millions to build Gurduaras and then collect millions to adorn them with gold, later use the Golak money to buy more land to expand the Gurduaras, but do not use those funds to save our Sikhs. Those Sikhs who desperately need our help.
Waheguru Ji has given us a source of money through the Gurduaras which needs to be directed to the right causes, to benefit the neglected and disadvantaged members of our society.
I wish all of you who watch this clip will feel the pain that I am feeling and shed tears for the grief of the families.
Waheguru ji please wake us up to act for the benefit of those afflicted by the atrocities. Unite us so that we can be what you created us to be.
Waheguru Ji please listen to my Ardas. Please help us.
