SRI ANANDPUR SAHIB, Punjab (March 8, 2015)—A meeting of Sikh scholars’ panel constituted by Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) to resolve the issue of Nanakshahi Calender, will be held on March 9.
Talking to media persons in this regard, Sri Akal Takht Sahib appointed Jathedar Giani Gurbachan Singh said that the suggestions by panelists at tomorrow’s meeting would be discussed in next meeting of Panj Singh Sahiban (highest presidium of Sikhs) and next action would be taken accordingly.
In addition, he said that 350th foundation day of Sri Anandpur Sahib will be celebrated with great enthusiasm and the state government has agreed upon this. Takht Sri Kesgarh Sahib Jathedar Giani Mal Singh, SGPC secretary Diljit Singh Bedi, additional secretary Jagir Singh and Amandeep Singh were also present on the occasion.
